Mentoring
We all need a helping hand at times in our lives. Our mentors act as caring and positive role models to help youth experience healing through ranch activities. Once paired with a mentor, your child will experience weekly one-on-one time where their mentor will help them develop life skills, confidence, and encourage personal growth. Each session includes two parts: 1) a small ranch chore to teach responsibility, discipline, and work ethic and 2) an activity chosen by the mentor and child, allowing for a fun and nurturing time together and the experience of a healthy relationship.
The mentor may choose from four main categories:

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)
What is equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP)? At Hearts Landing Ranch, we use a very special approach to mental health that places rescued horses at the center of our treatment team.
Many of our horses survived abuse and were destined to be slaughtered. Their experiences allow them to relate deeply to hurting people and provide a safe space for working through life's struggles. Each session includes one or more horses, an equine specialist, and a trained therapist. No riding is involved. Instead, clients interact with horses from the ground in activities tailored toward their treatment goals, whether it be healing from the pain of abuse, a broken marriage, addictions, and more.
We have successfully helped Veterans, couples, families, and teens find new skills for navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and other struggles where they had once given up hope. Healing is possible. Come find peace and answers with the help of our qualified professionals and horses in our beautiful ranch setting.
