Hearts Landing Ranch to Ride The Pony Express
Tour the Ranch, Meet the Herd, and Help Deliver Messages of Hope, at a Unique Equine-Assisted Mental Health Therapy RanchGranite Bay, CA — Hearts Landing Ranch, an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and mentoring programs, is proud to invite the community to Ride the Pony Express with us!
Our Virtual Pony Express will take place April 23rd - May 7th. It will be a community-wide fundraising ride with a mission to cover 4,000 virtual miles and sponsor 40 mental health programs. Every $20 moves the herd one mile closer to the goal, and every 100 miles represents one more person who can access life-changing care. Guests are also invited to write and share personal messages of hope for veterans, first responders, or anyone who could use a little extra encouragement — carried forward, in true Pony Express spirit, by the Hearts Landing Ranch herd.
Each year, Hearts Landing Ranch provides over 2,000 hours of Equine-Assisted mental health services —it is the only treatment center of its kind in the greater Sacramento region. The Ranch serves some of the community's most vulnerable members, ages 9 to 90, including children, families, veterans, and first responders. With 90% of clients relying on full or partial sponsorships, community support is essential to ensuring they receive the care they need and deserve.
Through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Hearts Landing Ranch helps individuals struggling with trauma find a unique path to healing. Horses don't judge — they mirror, creating a powerful bridge to trust and emotional safety. Clients process pain, rebuild confidence, and develop lasting resilience in ways traditional therapy alone often cannot achieve, with many finding meaningful healing in as little as 8 weeks. When individuals heal, families strengthen, workplaces benefit, and communities thrive.
We will be hosting 2 special events this year:
Pancakes and Ponies May 2nd: Guests will enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, meet the Ranch's four-legged therapists, take a guided tour of the facility, and write words of encouragement to members of the community that need a little extra appreciation!

An evening of wine, food, horses and heartfelt stories – all in support of a powerful cause. We’re pouring more than just wine; we’re pouring hope, healing, and connection into the lives of veterans, teens, and adults facing trauma and mental health challenges.
Event Details
Doors Open at 5:30pm.
Come enjoy delicious local wines, tasty bites, testimonies/stories of clients, and meet our rescued horses, all while learning how your support changes lives.
Bring a friend, sip for a cause, and be part of something truly meaningful. Event proceeds go directly toward scholarships for our most at-risk and underserved clients.
* Event will happen rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather! Please plan to wear closed toe shoes, as we will be walking through horse areas.
Due to the nature of the event, this is a 21yrs and older event, and we ask that you leave your furry/four legged friends at home.If you would like to partner with HLR in finding solutions for our most vulnerable youths, and help combat addiction and suicide rates in our community, ask us for more details!
Your partnership will help Hearts Landing Ranch see more individuals and impact more families who might otherwise not be able to afford Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP).

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help us celebrate our 10th birthday in style. We had over 120 people attend in person and danced the night away, under the stars to the fantastic music of Crossman Connection.
We were so excited that over 90%of the people that attended were all new to the ranch ! We love you all and hope you will continue to be a part of our HLR Family . We are continuing to build a community to impact our community. We could not do it without YOU ! - Thanks again !!!
